Sh!t Everyone Says
It all started with a short 1 minute video by creators Kyle Humphrey and Graydon Sheppard almost a month ago. Weeks later, it has become of the most popular and re-created videos on Youtube. The concept was so simple, but genius: A guy in a wig, mocking what girls would typically say or do on a regular basis. From this video, Billy Sorrells took the ball and rolled with it a few days later, creating the color counterpart called "Shit Black Girls Say," which also became a hit.
From that moment, other video makers on Youtube took it upon themselves to add to the snowball of this new viral meme of "Shit ___ Say" and, safe to say, a lot of people were going viral simultaneously. I've dubbed this Internet trend "Chain Viral." From the original link that became popular, other links were added that received the same stream of popularity as the first one. Though some links may be smaller or weaker than others, the chain itself became longer with each video made based and inspired by the original.
It's no surprise to see why these, and other "Shit, Say" videos are blowing up on Youtube. Everyday, we say things and do things that we don't notice to be comedic, but when they are brought to light, they become funny to us because they're familiar. Take for instance, when the two girlfriends met in each video, they screamed in excitement to see each other. In real life, it seems like a normal thing, but the video creators realized that it happens so often where most can relate to it and laugh at its accuracy. In essence, these videos help us to laugh at ourselves and realize we all are the same, whether a white girl or black girl (or any other type of person a video has been made for). Even my video partner, Joshen, jumped on the "Shit, Say" coaster and made a video about Shit Poor People Say, which came out pretty funny.
I'm just glad that I was able to witness a new Internet viral meme be born. Hopefully, one day, I can become the creator of a viral hit and have everyone saying shit about it. Until that day, you'll have to stay tuned.

Going Places

Yesterday, I had another chance to get out the house and create some content with Joshen, and to my surprise, being out and about resulted in gathering much attention. Throughout the day, we've been approached by multiple people, including an influential community leader who invited us to speak to some young people around our age about alternate career paths outside of "basketball and rapping." It made me feel good because I rarely consider what I do to be an alternate career choice; just something that I decided to do with my life. It's like my camera is Mjolnir (the hammer), and I am Thor. My camera basically gives me my power.
I've said that I should carry about my camera to more places to get attention and after yesterday, I realize that if Youtube were real, I would have gotten about 3-4 subs by people just asking what I do. Joshen and I are constantly figuring out ways to expand our audience and sometime we forget that the biggest social network is right outside our doors. It's funny how everyone who approached us asked if we were students working on a project because it seems the only accepted way you can be involved in videography is if you're a film major at a fancy film school (no offense to any film majors in any fancy film school/programs). One idea we had was to shoot our weekly shows in different locations to gather an audience and generate attention, which I will definitely keep in mind in my future video endeavors.
I know not everything I produce is going to be a hit or any idea I have won't be executed well, but I can succeed at getting my face out there and making people notice me more, so when I do make good videos, people will look out for me. Everyone else seems to be going places, I just have to go somewhere close by to make a huge difference.

That NEW New "Video"
"Time to take head out of ass..."
-Joshen Reborn
He's always spitting this line to me, and it always sticks for a while, then something happens where I fall off and my head decides to slip right back in my anus gate (wow, that sounded epic, lol). This video comes from my latest vlog channel on Youtube, which you guys can check out. Talking about success, I looked at my vlog thumbnail on my Mac's top sites page and realized I haven't touched that tab in a while. Once again, it's been too long and I think of when other, bloggers that I followed, fell off and I would wonder what happened to them. Now, I see how that feels.
I'm not going to apologize or say "next time... I promise..." because that's all bullshit. My blog should be the center of my empire, one that hasn't been managed well lately.
So, to give you guys something to look at, here my greatest video OF ALL TIME with me as Kanye West, performing a song that I wrote/made/edited myself. Enjoy.
Okay, this is basically my "I'm back" post. I need to start structuring my empire and my enterprises, so I'll see you when I'm awake.

Jeans, Balls and Gold!!!
Hey guys, been a while, blah, blah, blah... let's jump into it.
It was weird seeing myself with my pants low, but I wanted to get my message across somehow. More creative things to come, as always. Until you read again.
I'm sitting here with Joshen waiting for the last episode of WLOG in order to find 10,000 buried somewhere in the city.
For those who haven't been aware of this, there is free money buried somewhere in NYC, on some treasure hunt ish, and Video Reborn is trying to be on it and find that gold pronto. It has caused us to be a lil antsy with anticipation, but for now, all we can do is wait.

Yesterday, we continued shooting out viral music video in Manhattan, which is coming along slowly but surely. We found some random Spanish people in the street that helped us with the shooting and if I could remember their names, I would send a huge thanks their way.
As for me, I'm continuing to make my weekly videos, which I'm so proud of. It's crazy how life could just give you all sorts of ideas and scripts for some amazingly hilarious things and this video is no different. My latest video ties in NYC's Fashion week and the ridiculous style that is sagging jeans and makes fun of how people rock it.
